To create an account
Go to:
Gmail.com
Google Docs is a Web based Word processor
If a Jaws user, you will need to Enable screen reader support
To enable this feature you must be in a Google document
To open a google docs document
Go to:
Docs.google.com
Or:
Drive.google.com
From Drive
First time you will need to Sign into your Google account
You should Turn off virtual cursor
Jaws + Z
Press the letter C to open the create menu
Down arrow to Google Docs, press enter for more choices
Down arrow to Blank document and press enter
Short cut note:
Shift + T will open a new blank document from Drive
Enable Screen reader support
Alt + Control + Z
To get to accessibility options
Alt + T for the tool bar followed by C for accessibility settings
Tab through the options
Note: turning on Braille support will help with Jaws weather you use a Braille display or not

Uploading a Word document to Google Docs
From Docs.google.com
Locate Open File picker button
Space bar to open
This is a multi-tabbed dialogue
Tab until you locate the Tabs list
Use your up or down arrow keys to locate Uploads tab
Enter to open
Enter on File from device
Shift tab to file list
Locate file and enter to open in Google Docs

Download a Google doc to your computer
With Google Docs Home in focus
Locate and open the file
Open File menu
Alt + F
Arrow down to Download
Or press D
Arrow to file type and press enter
You should find a copy in your Downloads folder on your computer
